Khawla's Job Search Journey with WorkBC

Posted at:
Kitchen Helper

I was working part-time in a factory. I had to change my job due to health conditions. I faced many challenges to find a full-time job because of my age, lack of training and language barrier. I got to know through my daughter’s friend about the employment services offered by WorkBC. That is when I went to WorkBC Centre Guildford. At Guildford WorkBC Centre, the team helped me in finding the right training and then supporting me through Customized Wage Subsidy for employment. Currently, I am successfully employed as a kitchen helper with the help of my case manager Upasana Kapur and Job Coach Ajay Ratanpal. The support provided was very helpful and I could overcome my barriers to employment. WorkBC is certainly a place which prepares one to be employed!
