Job Search with WorkBC

I was unemployed before coming to WorkBC Centre Guildford. I had been laid off after working for over 10 years and was unsure about my future career. The biggest challenge I had faced was my hearing problem along with lack of work experience/ education if I wanted to change my career.

I was trying to apply for a PBLMT course and then I was suggested by the school that I need a referral from WorkBC.

My case manager spent a lot of time with me and gave me some career directions, offered one on one help with my resume and also helped me register for the Job Search Workshop and referred me to Assistive Technology Services where I received a new pair of hearing aids. She helped me to apply for a program and after that, she gave me suggestions on how to find related jobs and referred me to some organizations.

And I was offered a full-time job.

Staff in WorkBC are always willing to offer their help to clients.

I really appreciate the help I got from WorkBC. It gave me a life changing opportunity.
