We provide free services to residents who are unemployed or working less than 20 hours a week; can legally work in Canada; and who are not currently attending full-time school.

We offer services based on your needs and eligibility. Talk with an employment counsellor to begin your employment journey with us.
Free access to computers, phones, fax machines and photocopiers, job board, community resource brochures, and staff to help you with your job search.
Access a variety of career assessments and workshops to help you be successful in your job search. Workshops are delivered online in real-time (via Zoom) and self-paced (via Moodle) modes.
STOC provides certification for basic workplace safety and orientation to meet regulatory requirements and industry standards for entry-level employment. Find out home to access up to 35 hours of certificate training.

We cover up to $7,500 in tuition funding for in-demand training. We provide living support, childcare, and transportation based on need. Financial assessment and approval from WorkBC are required before starting the training.
We provide bus tickets and work gear for interviews and employment if you are eligible.
We will connect you with valuable resources and programs in the community.

We can support you as you start and/or maintain your new job.
NEW - This service provides financial reimbursement to employers who hire and train eligible job seekers. New workers gain skills, experience and employment while the employer gains a trained employee. It also provides financial support to meet the training needs of new employees.
We give grooming kits and haircut vouchers to help you freshen up for work.
Single parents on income assistance are now eligible for:
